To all of you who I love so much,
So this is going to be short and sweet because I don´t have much time today, but I just want to express my gratitude for you guys who are supporting me and for this marvelous Gospel! Miracles have happened this week with our investigators and less-actives, and I know that your prayers have helped make that happen. Alexander and Mario FINALLY received permission to attend church!!!!!! It was so incredibly amazing, and neither of them drank alcohol this week!!! Rubi, Alexander's niece is totally ready for baptism this month. Most precious moment ever when she got up and bore her testimony in sacrament meeting yesterday. She is astounding, I love her sooo much. We got to teach half of their family at the same time this week!!! So after our Word of Wisdom lesson, Alexander´s mom/Rubi´s grandma cut her coffee supply down to 2 cups a day AND stopped smoking!!! Plus, we were finally able to set an appointment with Alexander´s brother, Julio, and we´re meeting with him tomorrow! I want to baptize this whole family so badly!! Basically, we´re super stoked about them. Also, darling Analuisa (18 years old, abusive husband, lives in a shack), who moved to Bani two months ago, moved back, and she´s pregnant! We´re so excited to teach her again--what a humble heart she has:) I want to give her a real pillow for Christmas. I love working with these people who have so little--they are so much more receptive to the Gospel. I found these two verses in Mosiah chapter 4 this week:
11 And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the names of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.
12 And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true.
We have been promised so many blessings! Only through Christ can we find true happiness! I love sharing that happiness with the people of the Dominican Republic. I think I have finally found ¨true happiness¨ here on my mission. I have learned what´s important, what´s worth your time, and what will make you the most happy. I just want everyone to be happy! So go share the Gospel and make someone happy! I love you guys and hope you have a joy-filled week as you share the light of Christ with others!:)
Lots and lots of love,
Hermana Randall
